Opening the 'Daisy Room' at Kingston Hospital

Amanda spent the morning at Kingston hospital with the charity 'Born Too Soon', where the Maternity Unit have recently added 'The Daisy Room' to their Maternity and Neonatal Unit Facilities.

This very special room offers a place for bereaved families to be together and is unique asset to the hospital. The name came about as a result of a little baby girl Daisy who sadly died 6 years ago yesterday, and her family raised £26,000 in order that this facility could be made available to other bereaved families.

On what would have been Daisy's 6th birthday, her parents and elder brothers, Amanda, Kingston Hospital Maternity staff and other families celebrated the opening of the 'Daisy Room', with some touching speeches, teas and coffes and Angel & butterfly shaped biscuits!
